The Woodrow Wilson girls soccer team knocked off Winfield, 2-0, Tuesday night at Paul Cline Stadium.
“We owned the game,” Flying Eagles head coach Julie Agnor said. “We made a few adjustments in our lineup and it worked for us. We possessed the ball 75-percent of the game.”
Mya Wooton broke the scoreless game with an unassisted goal just 20 seconds into the second half. Sophie Hall then sealed the win with a goal off an assist from Mia Houck with four minutes left in the match.
“Ally Arthur played a fantastic game for us in goal,” Agnor said. “Every player left everything on the field tonight.”
Woodrow Wilson will be back in action at the YMCA Youth Soccer Complex Thursday when it hosts George Washington.
