Midland Trail 7, James Monroe 2
HICO – The Midland Trail girls soccer team won its second straight game to start the season with a 7-2 win over James Monroe Thursday.
Addy Isaacs recorded a hat trick and had an assist, while keeper Mary McGraw had seven saves to lead the Patriots.
Brylee Stephenson had two goals and Catherine Maxwell added another for Trail.
Mia Nuckols scored off the assist from Isaacs. Rumor Barnhouse and Ava Dickerson assisted on two of the goals from Isaacs.
Mary Meadows and Kaydence Weikle each had a goal for the Mavericks. Keeper Emma Ballard recorded 12 saves.
Midland Trail hosts Pocahontas County at noon Saturday.
