Round one of the Class AA/A Region 3, Section 2 boys soccer championship rematch went to Shady Spring Tuesday night on H.B. Thomas Field.
Nathan Vecellio scored two times and keeper Jack Billeter recorded a clean sheet in a 2-0 win for the Tigers.
Vecellio scored in the 11th and 32nd minute on assists from Micah Smith and Garrett Meador.
Shady Spring (4-1-1) travels to Pocahontas Thursday. PikeView (6-2) hosts James Monroe Thursday.
The two rivals will meet again Sept. 19 in Gardner.
