Greenbrier East 12, Alleghany, Va. 1 (5 innings)
Fairlea – Greenbrier East erupted for eight runs in the third inning and rolled past Alleghany, Va. 12-1 in five innings Thursday.
Hailey Ervin was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, while Lilly Carola also had a double and two RBI to pace the Spartans.
Carola went four innings in the circle allowing only two hits and one unearned run for the win.
Greenbrier West 7, James Monroe 0
Crawley – Greenbrier West scored three runs in fourth and sixth inning to defeat James Monroe 7-0 Thursday.
Brooklyn Adkins and Maddie Fields each had a triple for West. Hannah Sweet, Julia Herndon, Kyndall Taylor, Lacey Walker and Adkins all had one RBI.
Brilee Redden hurled a two-hit shutout and struck out 12 to get the win in the circle.
Princeton 8, Grundy 1
Princeton 9, Grundy 0
Princeton – Princeton swept Grundy in a doubleheader Thursday, claiming victories of 8-1 and 9-0 over the Golden Wave.
Hayden Jones and Emma Johnson picked up wins for the Tigers.
Johnson batted in six runs on the day to highlight Princeton at the plate.
