Greenbrier East 5, Herbert Hoover 1
Falling Rock – Greenbrier East pounded eight hits, erupting for four runs in the third inning of a 5-1 win over Class AA Herbert Hoover Wednesday in Falling Rock.
East pitcher Jose Ervin held the winners of the last five Class AA state championships to just three hits in a complete-game effort, striking out seven.
Taylor Boswell led the charge for East with two hits and two RBIs and Lily Carola adding a pair of hits and an RBI as well.

Wyoming East 7, Scott 5
Scott – Wyoming East held off a late rally form Scott Wednesday to earn a 7-5 win over the Skyhawks on the road.
Emma Simpson and Kayley Bane led the charge at the plate with three hits each for the Lady Warriors who led 7-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth.
Simpson added a trio of RBIs out of the leadoff spot while Paytin Brehm picked up the win with 11 strikeouts.

Greenbrier West 17, Richwood 0
Richwood – Greenbrier West pounded out 14 hits without yielding one Wednesday, picking up a 17-0 win at Richwood.
Preslee Treadway led the charge with with a pair of hits, including her fourth home run of the year, driving in six total runs in the win.
Brooklyn Adkins and Emma Ames also drove in multiple runs while Michaela Alley pitched all four innings, picking up the win in a no-hit effort.

Sherman 15, Liberty 12
Glen Daniel – Eight errors doomed Liberty Wednesday nigh as it fell 15-12 at home against Sherman.
The Raiders lost despite out-hitting the Tide 16-12.
Kanyon Green picked up a trio of hits in the losing effort, swatting her second home run of the year. Keandra Spurlock also noticed three hits in the loss.

Princeton 13, PikeView 0
Princeton 17, PikeView 0
Gardner – Princeton picked up a pair of shutout wins Wednesday at PikeView, blanking the Panthers 13-0 and 17-0 in Gardner.
Hayden Jones picked up the win in the first game, allowing two hits and striking out eight. Riley Riggs and Peyton Agnew led the charge at the plate with four and three hits, respectively.
Emma Johnson allowed just one hit in the second game, backing her own cause with three hits and four RBIs. Agnew had three hits in the second win as well, improving Princeton’s record to 11-9.
