The Crusaders scored eight runs in the fifth inning to erase a 7-2 deficit and went on to defeat PikeView 11-7.
Peyton Heffernan, Olivia Price, Emma Wilkerson and Lillian Tyree all had one RBI for Greater Beckley.
K Fine tallied two RBI for the Panthers, while E Compton and A Hedrick had one each. B Delida had a double.
Midland Trail 13, Nitro 6
Nitro – Anna Weaver had a double, a single and drove in three runs to lead Midland Trail past Nitro 13-6 Saturday.
Jenna Stone Stonestreet also had two hits, including a double, and one RBI.
Madison Rader was stellar at the plate and in the field Saturday. The freshman hurler allowed only two earned runs and struck-out 11 to get the win. At the plate Rader collected three hits and had one RBI.
Kylie Ramsey also had a two-hit day for the Patriots.
Herbert Hoover 3, Greenbrier East 1
Greenbrier East’s bats struggled Saturday afternoon as the Lady Spartans fell 3-1 on the road to perennial power Herbert Hoover.
Kayla Bartley collected a pair of hits in the loss while Ayva Veltri led the Huskies with a pair of RBIs and a double.
Hannah Shamblin collected the win for the Huskies in the circle.
