Summersville -Greenbrier East pounded 15 hits Wednesday to secure an 11-5 win at Nicholas County.
Olivia Plybon homered in the win while Gracie Gumm collected a trio of hits.
Jenna Groves drove in a trio of runs in the win as well.
James Monroe 4, Shady Spring 1
James Monroe 4, Shady Spring 3
Lindside – James Monroe pulled off a home doubleheader sweep against Shady Spring Wednesday night, winning 4-1 and 4-3.
Shailyn Wickline collected three hits in the 4-1 win while Haley Hunnicutt had two in the 4-3 victory.
Both games were deiced in the bottom of the sixth inning with James scoring three to break a 1-1 tie and two to rally from a 3-2 deficit.
Kaylee Waddell had two hits in each of Shady’s losses.
Independence 9, Nitro 0
Coal City – Independence took advantage of seven walks Wednesday to earn a 9-0 home win over Nitro in five innings.
Delaney Buckland held the Wildcats to four hits on the evening, striking out eight batters in the win while Kendall Martin led the charge at the plate with two hits.
Emma Lilly and Savannah Stanley collected an RBI each in the win.

Midland Trail 16, Summersville 1
Hico – Midland Trail Middle rolled to another win Wednesday, beating Summersville Middle 16-1 in Hico.
Madison Rader struck out 10 in the four inning affair while Stephanie Harrell drove in six runs, breaking the single-season RBI record with 32 RBIs.
