Wyoming East 16, PikeView 1 (4 innings)
New Richmond – Olivia Hylton threw a no-hitter and gave herself all of the support she’d need in the circle with a home run and two RBIs as Wyoming East defeated sectional foe PikeView 16-1 in four innings Monday evening in New Richmond.
Hylton’s only stain on the evening, a night where she was 4 for 4 at the plate, was that she walked five batters, but worked back to strike out 10. Savannah Brehm added her third home run of the season, bringing the team’s season total to 15, Brehm and freshman Alivia Monroe each drove in three runs while Maddie Clark and Andrea Laxton drove in two each.
Paige Laxton added three hits as well.
East improves to 6-3 and will host regional rival Independence on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Winfield 17, Independence 2 (3 Innings)
Winfield – After taking a quick 2-0 lead Monday, Independence’s joy quickly turned to sorrow and frustration.
Led by a 3-for-3 effort from all-stater and Youngstown State commit Kennedy Dean, Winfield scored 17 unanswered runs to beat Independence 17-2 in three innings in Winfield.
Dean crushed a home run and drove in five in the matchup of state tournament hopefuls as the Generals pounded out 13 hits total.
Hurting Indy’s cause was its struggle to cleanly field the ball as the Patriots committed six errors in the loss.
Kendall Martin and Delaney Buckland notched Indy’s only two hits of the game with Martin’s coming on an RBI-double.
Indy drops to 5-2 and will travel to Wyoming East on Wednesday.
