Shady Spring 2, Liberty 1
Kendra Pizzino singled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift Shady Spring past county rival Liberty, 2-1 Wednesday night.
The Raiders took the lead on the opening at-bat thanks to a run scoring double from Katie Mullens.
Shady Spring (10-5) answered in the bottom of the inning on an RBI-single from Avary Bragg.
Jenna Joyce picked up the win striking out 13 batters and also had a double at the plate. Annabelle Sturgill collected two hits for the Tigers including a double.
McKinlea Hill smacked two doubles for Liberty (10-8) and Brooklynn Blankenship had a pair of hits for Shady.
Midland Trail 17, PikeView 0 (5 innings)
Gardner – Madison Rader pitched a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and had three hits to lead Midland Trail to a 17-0 win over PikeView.
Raygen Parsons smacked her first career home run, along with a triple and had five RBI to lead the hitters.
Nevaeh Hall also had a big night with a double, two singles and four RBI and Trinity Wilson had two hits and two RBI for the Patriots.
Greenbrier West 10, Nicholas County 1 (5 innings)
Summersville – Greenbrier West scored six runs in the fifth inning to defeat Nicholas County 10-1 Wednesday.
Kyndall Taylor scattered five hits and did not allow an earned run to pick up the win in the circle.
Brilee Redden had a triple, a single and two RBI and Brooklyn Adkins smacked a double and a single, also driving in two runs.
Mackenzie Hanshaw had two hits for the Grizzlies.
Princeton 14, Oak Hill 6
Princeton – Princeton erupted for seven runs in the second inning, overcoming a 6-0 deficit to claim a 14-6 win over Oak Hill Wednesday in Princeton.
Seven different Tigers recorded multiple hits with Hayden Jones’ three leading the way.
Cora Thornton an dZoey Agnew added home runs in the victory.
Halee Jones drove in a trio of runs with a home run of her own.
