Bluefield – Princeton’s late rally came up short Thursday as Bluefield held off its county foe for a 6-4 win in Bluefield.
Madison Lawson led the Beavers with two hits while Sophie Hall drove in three runs.
Abigail Jenkins, Emma Johnson and Hayden Jones all picked up two hits in the loss.
Wyoming East 12, Westside 4
New Richmond – Kayley Bane blasted her second home run of the season Thursday as Wyoming East rallied from a 4-0 hole to beat county foe Westside 12-4 in five innings at East.
Bane collected two hits and drove in two runs while Alivia Monroe added three RBI and a double.
Shady Spring 14, Liberty 13
Shady Spring – Shady Spring won a slugfest against rival Liberty, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 14-13 walkoff win Thursday in Shady.
The teams combined for 36 hits with Avary Bragg leading the way for the Tigers with three hits and three RBI. Brooklynn Blankenship added three RBI as well.
Kendra Spurlock led Liberty with four hits and a home run in the loss.
