Fayetteville – The heat was high, but the scores were low Wednesday at Bridgehaven on the Gorge.
When the dust settled, Princeton (108) walked away the winner in a quad match with Nicholas County (113), Woodrow Wilson (114) and Oak Hill (134).
Dylan Canterbury from Princeton tied for low medalist honors along with Max Smallwood from Nicholas County and Tyler Stover from Woodrow Wilson. All three standouts carded a three-under par round of 33 Wednesday.
Joseph Flanigan had a 37 for the Tigers and Blake Blankenship shot 38. Braden Brown had a 37 for the Grizzlies.
Midland Trail 122, Webster County 136
Rainelle – The freshman duo of Landyn Cordle and Van Wood each shot 39 Wednesday to lead Midland Trail past Webster County 122-136. Fellow freshman Gage Eades rounded out the team scoring for the Patriots with a 44.
Maddie Williams from Webster County was the low medalist for the girls with a 52. The top three scores for Trail on the girls side were Ava Campbell (54), Alyssa Campbell (64) and Jayleigh Persinger (69).

Bluefield – Nathan Vecellio recorded a hat trick, while Micah Smith and Evan Rivera each added a goal in a 5-0 win for Shady Spring.
