Crescent Elementary volleyball dominated throughout the regular season in 2023 and the Chipmunks continued that run Saturday in the Raleigh County Elementary Volleyball Tournament played at Woodrow Wilson High School.
After running through the season undefeated, Crescent made it back-to-back crowns by defeating Hollywood Elementary in the championship match.
The Chipmunks opened the tournament with a win over Coal City before beating Maxwell Hill in the quarterfinals. A win over Daniels in the semis sent Crescent to the championship game.
Hollywood also made an impressive run to the title match entering the tournament as the No. 7 seed.
The Panthers opened the tournament with a win over Mabscott and backed it up with a win over No. 2 seed Ghent. Hollywood advanced to the championship match by beating No. 3 Shady Spring.
Daniels defeated Shady Spring to win the 3rd-place game.
