Oak Hill won a tight battle with Fayetteville, 2-1 Friday to bring home the 2022 Fayette County Middle School Volleyball Championship title.
The Red Devils opened the night with a 2-1 win over Valley to advance to the championship match, while the Pirates took a 2-0 match over Midland Trail on their way to the finals.
Jenna Maynor from Oak Hill was named the tournament Most Valuable Player, while Kya Osborne (Oak Hill), Cera Keeney-Wallace (Fayetteville), Mia Calloway (Fayetteville), Amy Thomas (Fayetteville), Jessi Mooney (Midland Trail) and Maddie Fleming (Valley) earned All-tournament honors.
