Shady Spring – Class AAA No. 3 Shady Spring gained the upper hand Tuesday, taking down No. 4 Greenbrier East in the sectional tournament at Shady.
The Tigers won the match 3-1, beating the Spartans 25-23, 25-23, 25-17, dropping their one set 17-25.
East rebounded with a sweep of Princeton, winning 25-14, 25-19 and 25-19.
Shady and East will meet again Thursday back at Shady in the sectional title game. The Tigers need to win just one match to secure the title. Greenbrier East needs to win twice to claim the sectional title.
