PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Ongoing improvements at Princeton City Park are enhancing safety, aesthetics, and functionality for visitors and special events.
In 2024, several upgrades were completed, including a new ADA-compliant restroom facility near the stage and ADA playground.
The park’s multiuse stage also received new sound equipment and lighting, benefiting the Music in the Park summer concert series.
Other notable improvements included repairs to the rock walkway, a new diving board at the pool, an extended and paved handicap parking area, wooden bollards in parking areas, enhancements to the 18-hole disc golf course, and the removal of fallen trees, brush, and debris.
Looking ahead to 2025, planned projects include underpinning for the park’s stage, renovations and relocation of the pool’s concession stand, and the installation of a new PA and sound system at the pool.
Officials say these enhancements aim to make Princeton City Park a welcoming destination for outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, disc golf, and live performances.
