PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Princeton man and woman are facing multiple felony charges after police executed a search warrant that uncovered large quantities of illegal drugs, firearms, and evidence of drug distribution at a Mercer County residence.
According to the Princeton Police Department, officers executed a search warrant on June 17 at a single-wide trailer located at 722 Roundhouse Road in Princeton.
During the search, officers encountered Amber Stanley and Jerry Cecil Jr., who were detained while investigators searched the home.
Police said they seized numerous controlled substances and evidence consistent with drug trafficking, including:
- 67 Gabapentin pills
- Eight Suboxone strips
- Approximately 9.5 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Approximately 2 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Three firearms and ammunition
- Multiple digital scales
- Plastic baggies commonly used for packaging narcotics
- Drug cutting agents
- Two marijuana plants growing outside the residence
- $260 in cash
Investigators said the items recovered were indicative of the illegal distribution of controlled substances.
During the investigation, officers determined one of the firearms—a SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol—had been reported stolen after checking its serial number through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
Police also discovered that Cecil is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction. According to investigators, Cecil was convicted of possession with intent to deliver in 2020, making his possession of the firearms illegal.
Authorities allege Stanley and Cecil worked together to distribute controlled substances from the residence. After being transported to the Princeton Police Department, both suspects were advised of their Miranda rights and, according to police, provided statements acknowledging their involvement in distributing illegal drugs over a period of time.
Both were processed, arraigned, and are facing multiple charges related to drug distribution, firearm offenses, and conspiracy.
The investigation remains ongoing. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
