MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Princeton man is charged after punching and sexually abusing a minor.
According to detectives, on May 30, 2022, Jason Redden waited for his girlfriend to leave home and sexually abused her child. Â Detectives say the minor child woke up to Redden on top of her and started strangling her with her necklace. Â When the child began to fight him off, Redden allegedly struck her in her face with a closed fist. Â Redden forcibly had sexual intercourse.
After the sexual assault, the child left home and called her mother. She was then taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Redden is charged with strangulation, child abuse resulting in injury, and sexual abuse. Â Redden is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
