BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Protests against the Trump administration and its policies took place locally and nationally today.
Protesters specifically voiced their disagreement with Elon Musk and his role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) along with Project 2025.
Protests took place at all 50 state capitals including in Charleston and Beckley at the intersection of Robert C. Byrd Drive and Harper Road.
The protests stemmed from an online movement organized under the hashtags #buildtheresistance and #50501, symbolizing 50 protests in 50 states on a single day.
Websites and social media accounts urged action with messages like “reject fascism” and “defend our democracy.”
