FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Drivers in Fayette County should expect short-term road closures later this week as crews perform maintenance on the RJ Corman railroad line.
Work is scheduled to begin in Redstar on Thursday, October 2, at 9 a.m. at the railroad crossing near the intersection of Red Star Road and Thurmond Road.

Crews will move to Mt. Hope the following day, Friday, October 3, with work starting at 9 a.m. at the crossing along C&O Road near Colorado Street.
The projects are expected to take three to four hours each, and the affected routes will reopen once work is completed.
Officials cautioned that the schedule could change if crews face poor weather or other unexpected delays.
The RJ Corman line undergoing maintenance runs between Thurmond and Pax.
