RAINELLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Rainelle Fire Department has announced updates for this year’s Fireman’s Muster events on Labor Day.
Unlike previous years, the festivities will focus solely on a Fireman’s Muster Parade and Fireman’s Field Events, with no public carnival games planned.
The public is invited to watch the parade of Fire & Emergency Vehicles at 12 PM on August 31st.
The parade will commence on State Route 20 at John Raine Dr. and proceed down Main Street, concluding at City National Bank.
Following the parade, the Fireman’s Field Events will take place at Meadow River Community Park, starting at approximately 1:30 PM.
An area will be roped off for spectators to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the competition.
The Field Events will include three main competitions:
Hose Cart Relay: Teams will be timed on unloading the cart, connecting to a water supply, and knocking down a cone.
Fire Hose Tug of War.
Water Battle: Teams will race to fill two 55-gallon drums placed 100 feet apart. The first team to fill their drum wins.
The Rainelle Fire Department is hoping for a strong turnout for the day’s events.
