BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two agenda items of particular interest at Tuesday’s meeting of the Raleigh County Commission were not discussed at length as commissioners have apparently decided to table the consideration of a Raleigh County Grievance Coordinator.
Included as part of a revised Raleigh County Commission agenda released last week, the agenda items entailed consideration of adoption of Grievance Procedures/Citizens Complaints for Raleigh County and consideration of appointment of a Grievance Coordinator for Raleigh County, respectively.
Upon arriving at these items during Tuesday’s meeting, Raleigh County Commission President advised that commission members had elected to table the agenda items, appearing to indicate that the three commissioners required more time for review and consideration of the items, though little was offered in the way of explanation with regard to the omission of the planned agenda items.
It is unclear at the time of writing when or if commission members intend to revisit the issue of a county grievance coordinator.
