RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS)– Robert Underwood was booked on May 17th for having a sexual relationship with a 14 year old.
According to documents, this incident occurred in February of 2021 while Underwood was 19 years old. A complaint from Child Protective Services was sent to an officer. Underwood had a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl for about a month from February to March. The victim showed text messages between her and the accused to her guardian and police.
A warrant was issued to look at texts which show a level of intimacy between the accused and victim. The victim and accused had also stated to each other that they “love each other”. Texts also show that the suspect and victim attempted to meet at unknown locations.
Underwood was contacted to discuss this case but failed to do so in a timely manner.
His charges include felony third degree sexual assault and soliciting a minor via computer.
