GLEN WHITE, WV (LOOTPRESS) — State police are investigating a shots-fired incident that unfolded Wednesday evening in a residential neighborhood in Raleigh County.
According to a report from responding troopers, authorities were called to the 500 block of Carver Circle on Jan. 7, 2026, after receiving a complaint that a gun had been fired. When troopers arrived, they made contact with a woman who reported she had been threatened and shot at while walking a dog.
The woman told troopers she had been returning a neighbor’s dog and was walking from the direction of Robinson Street toward a residence on Carver Circle when a man exited a home at 510 Carver Circle. She said the man accused her of owing him money and began yelling at her.
According to the report, the man then threatened to retrieve a gun and shoot her before going back inside the residence. Moments later, he returned holding what was described as a shiny, possibly silver handgun and fired one round in her direction.
The suspect then went back inside the home, troopers said.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Anthony Brown was arrested and is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 500,000 dollar bond.
