RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man has been arrested on multiple sexual assault charges following an investigation by the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff Frank Priddy, deputies responded to the Soak Creek area of Raleigh County on July 27, 2025, after receiving a report of a sexual assault.
As the investigation progressed, the case was assigned to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau. Following what the sheriff’s office described as a thorough investigation, detectives obtained sufficient evidence to arrest Harold Johanna Heyen.
Heyen has been charged with five counts of second-degree sexual assault.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton commended the deputies and detectives involved in the case for their professionalism, dedication, and thorough investigation, which led to the arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
