CRAB ORCHARD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man is charged with murder.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, on Friday, December 10, 2021, at around 3:19 pm, deputies responded to Center Street in Crab Orchard for a report of a male who was struck in the head not breathing. Â When deputies arrived, Jeremy Gambrell was found unresponsive inside the home.
Through the investigation, it was learned that Herbert Wayne Doss and Jeremy Gambrell got into an altercation. Â Witnesses say Doss was choking Gambrell and eventually got away from him. Â He went into another room, became dizzy, and fell to the floor. Â Doss then entered the room and picked up an object, and struck Gambrell in the head, resulting in his death.
Doss is charged with murder and is currently in Southern Regional Jail.
