BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Commission has announced the opening of a new grant opportunity aimed at tackling the ongoing opioid crisis in the community.
Funding is now available through the county’s opioid settlement funds, with applications accepted online at www.raleighcounty.gov.

The initiative, called the New Direction Grant, is focused on supporting prevention-based programs and projects in Raleigh County.
Eligible applicants include local organizations, agencies, and other entities that are actively working to prevent opioid misuse or assist individuals impacted by opioid addiction.
The first round of funding will prioritize projects with a strong emphasis on prevention. All applications must be complete and submitted online. Incomplete submissions may not be considered.
