BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Students throughout the Raleigh County area made their way to the bus stops bright and early for the first time in several months as they were welcomed back for the 2024-2025 school year.
Students across the state have been gearing up for the return of the weekday school routine, with many schools throughout West Virginia having already kicked off the new year as early as last week.
In the case of Raleigh County, however, area students strapped on their backpacks just over midway through the current week for their return to the classroom.
“On behalf of our school system, I want to wish all students, families and staff a wonderful school year,” said Superintendent of Raleigh County Schools, Serena Starcher with regard to the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. “We look forward to seeing everyone!”
Raleigh County Schools brought together an array of community organizations earlier this month for its Wellness & Outreach Fair event. The annual event provided students and families with a range of opportunities to receive supplies and information regarding the upcoming year.
