RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of early morning incidents that occurred Thursday on Fitzpatrick Road.
According to a press release issued April 2, 2026, emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 5:00 a.m. to the 300 block of Fitzpatrick Road following reports of two separate vehicle accidents and a gunshot in the area.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that the incidents were related but confined to the immediate scene. Authorities reported that one individual was taken into custody.
Officials stated there is no active shooter and no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation remains active, and additional details are expected to be released as they become available.
