BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – Natalie Cochran, a Raleigh County woman accused of killing her husband and currently serving time for her role in a Ponzi scheme, was arraigned in Raleigh County Circuit Clerk on Wednesday. Cochran appeared virtually from FCI Hazleton Medium in Bruceton Mills, where she is currently serving 11 years for defrauding investors out of millions.
Cochran was indicted in November of 2021 for the 2019 murder of her husband, Michael Cochran. On Wednesday, she pleaded not guilty to the charges in front of Judge Robert Burnside.
Following the arraignment, Cochran’s trial was scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 6, 2022. A pretrial hearing will be held on May 18, 2022. Cochran will attend the trial in person, according to Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Hatfield.
