WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Randy Moss, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and a native of Rand, West Virginia, has announced that he will step away from his role on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown for an extended period to focus on a personal health challenge.
Moss briefly addressed the matter during the Dec. 1 episode of the show.
For nearly a decade, Moss has been a vital part of the Countdown team, contributing his expert analysis, insight, and passion for the game.
ESPN issued a statement Friday morning expressing full support for Moss and looks forward to welcoming him back when he is ready.
Moss, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, has been an inspiration to many, particularly in his home state of West Virginia.
