Ravenswood Ohio River Festival schedule announced

RAVENSWOOD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Details have been announced regarding the upcoming Ravenswood Ohio River Festival.

Scheduled to take place from August 2, 2024, to August 4, 2024, the event will feature a variety of activities and entertainment, including free inflatables and carnival rides.

The excitement will get underway beginning at 4:00pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, with the opening of rides and inflatables and, later in the evening, live performances from Kate Boytek and Noah Thompson.

Saturday will kick things off bright and early with a Super Breakfast at North United Methodist Church preceding the Grand Parade which will be held downtown at 10:30am.

Also featured on Saturday will be Opening Ceremonies, the Riverfront Park Boat Parade, and entertainment from Melissa Quinn Fox, Jack & Davis Reid, and Billy Dean. Following the live entertainment, Premier Pyrotechnics will put on a fireworks show.

Sunday will feature the Pet Pageant event as well as the Crazy Raft Race. Food vendors, craft vendors, a dunk, booth, and face painting will be among the ongoing events to be featured throughout the weekend.

The Ravenswood Ohio River Festival is currently seeking participants for the Grand Parade event. Boats, antique cars, sports teams, marching bands, cheerleaders, twirlers, church groups, and local businesses and organizations are among those encouraged to participate.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to fill out the participation form. Lineup for the parade will begin at 9:30am at Ravenswood High School. The parade will proceed on Ritchie Avenue, turn left on Washington Street, turn left on Walnut Street after continuing downtown, and turn left on Henry Street, reaching its conclusion at the DAC parking lot at Ravenswood High School.

Participants may not represent or depict any controversial topics or issues in the parade, and no weapons or firearms will be permitted without prior approval from law enforcement and the festival committee.
