BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority Youth Outdoor Adventure Program is excited to host Stand Up Paddleboarding at Lake Stephens in partnership with Active Southern WV. This beginner-friendly event is a great way to get out on the water, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and stay active in a relaxed, supportive setting.
What to Expect:
• Guided group paddle on the calm waters of Lake Stephens
• Instruction and encouragement from Active Southern West Virginia staff
• A welcoming environment for all skill levels
How to Prepare:
• Meet at the dam area of Lake Stephens
• Wear water-appropriate clothing or a swimsuit
• Bring a towel, water, and sun protection
• SUP boards and gear will be provided
