FAYETTEVILLE, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – On Friday, June 18, 2021, the Fayette County Commission gave Region 4 Planning and Development Council permission to apply for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
According to Region 4 Project Assistant Jamie Baker, the county commission will partner with the Fayette County Health Department to file the grant application. If the county is awarded any funds, they will be used to renovate a newly purchased health department building.
Baker said they will be requesting $2 million to complete the project.
The commission approved the application on Friday.
