RIDGEVIEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A domestic violence incident in Ridgeview led to the arrest of a Boone County man after he allegedly threatened his father and caused damage inside their shared home.
Around 11:54 p.m. on Monday, deputies responded to a residence on Mossey Lane following a disturbance report. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with the victim, who stated that his son, Aaron Barker, had threatened to cause physical harm and was aggressively destroying personal property throughout the house.
According to the report, Barker not only made verbal threats but also threw multiple items in the victim’s direction during the confrontation. The two live together, and deputies noted that there have been previous domestic violence-related complaints involving Barker, the victim, and another family member.
Officials say Barker’s actions placed the victim in reasonable fear of injury, which led to the defendant’s arrest at the scene.
