SAINT ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Saint Albans High School ticket booth was destroyed following a fire after Friday night’s football game.
According to the Saint Albans Fire Department (SAFD), at 10:16 PM on Friday, the SAFD along with automatic aid departments were dispatched to Crawford Field for a structure fire.
The structure that caught fire was the ticket booth for Crawford Field.
The fire broke out shortly after the St. Albans High School football game, but fortunately, most of the crowd had exited the area.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to SAFD.
According to the Red and Black Athletic Club, the boys and girls soccer teams lose multiple pieces of equipment in the fire including balls, cones, practice jerseys, pugg goals, flags, and more.
A GoFundMe was started and over $9,810 was raised for new equipment.
