BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A second person was arrested and charged with murder in December 2020.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, on December 22, 2020, at around 5:07 pm, officers responded to Pemberton Road in Midway regarding a shooting.  The suspect, Sara Michelle Raimey, witnessed an altercation between her boyfriend and shooting suspect, Roger Plumley, and the victim, Brian Ruffen, in the parking lot of  Venus Lounge.  Plumley shot Ruffen in the head, which killed him.
Deputies say Raimey obstructed the investigation on numerous accounts and failed to cooperate by providing false information during multiple interviews fully.
Raimey is charged with first-degree murder and accessory to murder. Â She is being held in Southern Regional Jail under no bond. Â Plumley was arrested last year for murder.
