FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A section of Paint Creek Road (County Route 23) is closed to through traffic today as crews work to repair a railroad crossing.
The closure began at 8 a.m. Thursday, October 23, and will remain in place until the work is complete.
While the road is closed to general traffic, local residents can still reach their homes using Packs Branch Road (Fayette County Route 27) or Maple Fork and Sweeneysburg Roads in Raleigh County.
Officials are asking drivers to obey all posted traffic signs and detours during the repair period.
The Kanawha River Railroad and RoadSafe Traffic Systems expressed appreciation to motorists for their patience and understanding during the project.
