SHADY SPRING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Shady Spring Tigers will take on the Man Hillbillies Friday on a night during which the school will honor military veterans.Â
The team will take to the field in themed uniforms provided by the Army National Guard, with the game beginning at 7:00pm.Â
Gates will open at 5:15pm and veterans, along with Shady Spring students, will be admitted to the game free of charge.Â
Shady Spring High School also held its first Chili Night last week to much success.Â
The evening featured contests, face painting from Melissa Losada and her students, and of course plenty of delicious chili.Â
Jennifer Jarrett, WV Tech Softball, Robert Lynch, David and Dawn Romage, Donald and Sheila Barnett, James and Amanda Quesenberry, Timmy Fama, Ashlei Collins, and Ronnie Olson were among those who entered the competition, serving up their own dishes in a bid for first place.Â
It was Timmy Fama who ultimately took home the prize for First Place in the very first Shady Spring High School Chili Contest.Â
