BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Beckley has announced the seasonal opening schedule for the Sharon Dempsey Pool at New River Park.
The pool will open for the season on a limited basis beginning Saturday, May 31.
The abbreviated schedule includes:
- Saturday, May 31 – 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday, June 1 – 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 7 – 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday, June 8 – 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The regular summer schedule will begin Tuesday, June 10, with the pool open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., through August 9.
The concession stand will be open, though no hot food will be served this season.
City officials also confirmed that the Black Knight pool will remain closed for the summer.
Admission prices are as follows:
General Pool Admission
- Children (ages 4–17): $4.50
- Adults: $5.50
- Seniors: $4.50
Pool & Slide Admission
- Children: $7.00
- Adults: $8.00
- Seniors: $7.00
