OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A popular establishment has officially returned to Oak Hill after being closed for nearly five years.
The Shoney’s located at 242 Mall Road in Oak Hill reopened its doors to the public on Thursday afternoon.

The restaurant has been closed for nearly five years after initially closing for renovations. Since then, the restaurant has come close to reopening multiple times in the last few years.
In 2023-24, billboard signs advertising the Oak Hill location were placed along U.S. Route 19.
But the suspense is now over—and the restaurant is open with only the buffet open for the next four weeks due to “labor challenges,” according to the restaurant.
The restaurant says they hope they can implement menu items sooner.
Restaurant hours for the next four weeks will be Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8 AM-8 PM.
Shoney’s will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
