HAMLIN, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A shooting on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Stones Trailer Court in Hamlin left one person injured, and authorities are actively searching for the suspect.
West Virginia State Police Troopers C.T. Daniels and C.L. Robinson were dispatched to the scene following a call from Lincoln 911. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. The individual was transported by Lincoln County EMS to Cabell Huntington Hospital for treatment.
The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Jackie Adkins of Hamlin, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and remains at large.
Troopers plan to obtain warrants for Adkins on charges of Malicious Wounding, Wanton Endangerment, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information on Adkins’ whereabouts to contact the West Virginia State Police.
