LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A tragic start to the new year unfolded in the Harts area of Lincoln County as a single-vehicle crash on West Virginia State Route 10 resulted in the death of the driver.
According to Trooper J.D. Reedy, who responded to the scene, the incident occurred on Wednesday when the driver, traveling north on Route 10, lost control of her vehicle. The car veered off the right side of the roadway and rolled multiple times.
The victim was transported to Boone Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. However, Trooper Reedy was later informed by Medical Examiner Scott Corder that the victim had succumbed to her injuries.
The victim’s next of kin has been notified.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the Hamlin Detachment of the West Virginia State Police at 304-824-3101.
