Cabell Midland 3, St. Albans 2
South Charleston – Cabell Midland scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat St. Albans 3-2 Tuesday at Little Creek Park in South Charleston.
Midland’s K.K. Wallis scored after a throwing error to tie the game while Jess Terry’s slicing bloop single to right field scored the winning run.
Cabell Midland advances to Wednesday’s Class AAA championship where it will await the winner of St. Albans and Washington, which will be played in the morning at 9:45 a.m.,

Oak Glen 3, Sissonville 2 (8 innings)
South Charleston – After yielding the lead in the seventh, Oak Glen scored in the eighth inning to take the lead for good.
Aly Soblit led a seventh inning rally for the Indians, reaching base to start the frame and scoring to tie it.
The senior pitched in relief of Madison Legg, who maxed out her 14-inning limit. It was the first time somebody other than Legg had pitched for the Indians this season.
Oak Glen advances to the Class AA championship where it will play the winner of Wednesday morning’s matchup between Hoover and Sissonville.
Class A
Petersburg 11, Midland Trail 6
South Charleston – After taking a 5-2 lead, Midland Trail faltered late, falling 11-6 to Petersburg in the Class A state tournament.
The loss eliminates Midland Trail.
The fourth inning proved to be a disaster for the Patriots as the Vikings plated five to seize control of the game.
Lauren Alt led the way for Petersburg, going 4-for-4 with a solo home run.
Trail’s Meghan Gill drove in two runs in the loss.
Petersburg will face Ritchie County Wednesday morning for a spot in the Class AA title game.

South Charleston – Wahama scored in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, breaking a 2-2 tie and beating Ritchie County 6-3 Tuesday night in South Charleston.
With the win Wahama advances to the Class A championship game while Ritchie County will face Petersburg Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. in an elimination game.
