MILTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Authorities in Cabell County are investigating a violent altercation between a father and son that occurred Friday night, November 8, 2024, at an apartment on Church Street in Milton.
According to law enforcement, the incident began around 8 p.m. in a second-floor bedroom at 1158 Church Street, Apartment 5, when Jason Bickle and his father, Roy Bickle, became embroiled in an argument. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation during which Jason allegedly used his father’s wooden walking cane as a weapon, striking him multiple times on the right side of his head.
The attack reportedly left Roy Bickle bleeding profusely and resulted in the cane breaking. The confrontation continued downstairs into the garage, where additional damage occurred, including a broken mirror and a visible trail of blood from Roy’s injuries.
Jason Bickle fled the scene following the altercation, accompanied by his wife, Crystal Bickle.
Emergency responders transported Roy Bickle to a nearby hospital to treat the injuries sustained during the incident. The severity of his condition has not been disclosed.
Bickle is currently in jail under a 30,000 dollar, cash-only bond.
