SOPHIA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Sophia Area Volunteer Fire Department announces the opening of an emergency warming station today, Monday, December 29, 2025, at 463 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Sophia, West Virginia. The station will operate from 9:00PM to 5:00 AM to provide shelter and warmth for residents during the current period of severe weather.
