ST. ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of St. Albans has announced plans to host its annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony events this weekend.
The parade will get underway at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 3, 2023, beginning at St. Francis Church and moving along 6th Avenue, up Third Street, and reaching its conclusion on Main Street. Those in attendance are encouraged to situate themselves along 6th Avenue and Main Street for an optimal viewing experience for the event.
Parade participants will enter at Walnut Street onto Washington Avenue and make their way to St. Francis Church, while participating fire trucks will enter the lineup at 5th Avenue & Park.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be put in place in order to accommodate the event, and spectators, as well as those traveling in the area at the time of the event have been asked to plan accordingly and to anticipate traffic delays.

Following the Christmas Parade, a Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Main Street at 5:30pm.
