CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Public Service Commission of West Virginia is reviewing an application from Stand Energy Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, seeking approval to provide natural gas supply services in the state.
According to the filing, Stand Energy is requesting a certificate of need to offer, render, furnish, or supply natural gas to the public.
The company plans to operate as a supplier or aggregator of natural gas in multiple counties, including Berkeley, Cabell, Fayette, Kanawha, Mercer, Monongalia, Raleigh, Wood, and others across West Virginia.
The PSC may consider the application without holding a hearing.
Individuals wishing to file a protest regarding Stand Energy’s technical or financial fitness must submit their comments within 15 days of this notice.
Protests should be sent to the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission, 201 Brooks Street, Charleston, WV 25301, and must include the case number 25-0424-G-EFPP.
