FAIRLEA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The State Fair of West Virginia, in partnership with American National and its Family of Companies, is set to host the tenth annual “State Fair Car Show” on Sunday, August 11th, from 11 AM to 4 PM during the 99th Annual State Fair.
The event will take place on the main fairgrounds.
Pre-registration is recommended for participants, with the first 100 entries receiving two gate admission tickets and a special sponsor gift.
The car show is open to custom hot rods, rat rods, classics, antiques, and drag cars from 1969 or earlier.
A limited number of hot rods and muscle cars from 1970 to 1985 will also be accepted.
Award categories include People’s Choice, The Long Drive Award, Kid’s Choice, Best Paint Job, Sponsor’s Choice, Participant’s Pick, and The Best of West Virginia Ribbon.
Participants are responsible for their vehicles, as the State Fair of West Virginia and American National will not be liable for any damages.
“The State Fair Car Show has been such a wonderful addition to our schedule the past few years,” said State Fair CEO Kelly Collins. “We are thrilled that American National and its Family of Companies have joined us again this year as we continue another State Fair tradition!”
Founded in 1905 by William L. Moody, Jr., American National Insurance Company has grown to become one of the largest, most financially secure multiple line insurers in the country.

Setup time for the car show is from 9 AM to 10 AM, and only registered participants’ vehicles are permitted on the grounds.
