OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The West Virginia State Police have announced a Sobriety Checkpoint scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025, along Route 10 in the Oceana area of Wyoming County. The checkpoint will be active from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
The operation is part of an ongoing effort to deter impaired driving and educate the public on the dangers of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Authorities are encouraging the public to support law enforcement efforts by reporting suspected impaired drivers to the West Virginia State Police, Crime Stoppers of West Virginia, or any local law enforcement agency.
Officials stress that DUI checkpoints are a proven method to reduce drunk driving, save lives, and promote safer roads across the state.
