Savanna Lovejoy scored the lone goal of the match in the 54th minute off of an assist from Mia Lough to give the five-time defending state champions a 1-0 win over Point Pleasant.
Point keeper Kendra Lee field 10 shots from the Irish and save nine in a stellar effort to keep her team in the match.
The second match of the morning session was also a battle the the wire between East Fairmont and Elkins. Going into the 79th minute scoreless, Leah Paugh knocked in a loose ball in front of the net to give the Bees a 1-0 win.
Erin Collins had 12 saves for the Tigers who managed only two shots on goal.
Charleston Catholic will now face East Fairmont for the AA-A girls title at 10 a.m. on Carter Family Field.
Class AA-A Boys Semifinals
Charleston Catholic 8, Grafton 0
East Fairmont 2, Point Pleasant 1
No. 1 seed Charleston Catholic overwhelmed Grafton 8-0 Thursday in the Class AA-A opening match on Carter Family Field.
Aiden Anton had two goals for the Irish, while Rocco Eates, Ethan Bastian, Miles Brown, Wilkes Aliff, Mateo Lao and Owen Snyder had one goal each.
Charleston Catholic tallied 16 shots on goal in the win.
In the nightcap, East Fairmont scored twice in the first half and held on for a 2-1 lead over Class AA-A defending state champion Point Pleasant.
Kollin Maxey scored in the 22nd minute for the Bees and Lucas Messenger knocked in the eventual game winner just before the half in the 39th minute.
Colton Angus scored for Point Pleasant in the 24th minute.
Charleston Catholic and East Fairmont boys will follow the girls match which starts at 10 a.m.
